Joel Pineiro had a strong outing as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the
Atlanta Braves by the score of 9 to 0 at Turner Field.

St. Louis came up with 4 runs in the 4th inning when they had 4 base hits.
The crucial at-bat was provided by Colby Rasmus who helped quiet the crowd
when he belted a three-run homer. St. Louis had a total of 12 hits for the
game.

Pineiro(2-1) was credited with the shutout. Jair Jurrjens(1-3) suffered the
loss. He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits and 5 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
